1. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

TRP - E^2

Tolerance, Restraint, Patience - Ego and Expectations

I like to remind myself of this ‘equation’ every time I face a challenge. It helps me make more rational decisions. It was passed on to me by one of my teachers and has left a mark ever since.

2. A book you read that changed your life and mindset?

Sapiens: A brief history of humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

It was quite thought-provoking and I often ponder over the topics I read in this book. The book focuses on how wheat domesticated humans and also, the evolution of religion.

3. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

Just dive in! Don’t let the fear of failing hold you back.

4. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

Well, it would be Rihanna. From putting up jaw-dropping performances to creating a brand that revolutionized the makeup industry by being highly inclusive- She does it all. I would love to witness her creative process.

Yogita Yadav (Graphic Designer)

‘Steal like an artist’ by Austin Kleon. I randomly came across this book when a friend gave it to me, and this book left a great impact on my perspective of life.

3. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

Communication is the key and don’t be afraid of asking.

4. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

I would switch my life to a little kid who is around everything and never bothered about anything, living carefree and happy without any baggage.

Mrinal Kaushik (Textile Designer)

1. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

When you accept resistance, the resistance disappears.

2. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

Building connections would be the most important learning. Building strong connections with colleagues, clients, and industry professionals can help you gain valuable insights, learn new skills, and advance your career.

3. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

For a day, I would like to switch my life with my mother. I want to feel the joy and difficulties she encounters daily and see the world from her perspective. I want to be able to comprehend her life and the sacrifices she makes better. I might learn a lot about her decision-making and mental processes from this experience.

Ritika Singh (Social Media Manager)

1. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

‘It is what it is, for a reason’.

Accept the moment as is, as it takes the effort of the whole universe to create that moment; so when you defend it, you choose to go against the entire universe.

2. A book you read that changed your life and mindset?

Well, there is not ‘one’ book that has shifted my perspective and way of thinking but many altogether. Here are two that I adore:

Think like a monk by Jay Shetty

A great book to learn more about life, adapt transforming habits, know the importance of routines, and prioritize the simplest things in life.

Show Your Work by Austin Kleon

This book taught me who is an artist, and how important it is to showcase your work, whether small or amateur. And how every art is ‘stolen’ and how every artist must create and showcase their work and then let people steal from their art.

3. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

Adapting a work ethic is quite important. You must maintain your personality, and exhibit great organizational, and communication skills in the work culture.

4. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

It would be my aunt, I love how empathetic she is, and confident in what she does.

Communication is the best way to resolve any issue.

2. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

Always try to listen to others and never say "No" to any work which is not directly related to you, because you might end up learning something new which will be beneficial for your career ahead.

3. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

It would be Shri Ratan Tata, because of his humility even in the face of being the CEO of one of the world's biggest business conglomerates. It is truly inspiring.

Ria Mehta (Buying & merchandising intern)

1. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Not to live in the past; it will only ruin your present and future.

2. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

That you need to start from the bottom and then move up. It’s important to understand the base-level operations even if they don’t match your qualification/education. Working with the sales team at a retail store has made me a different person. It made me realize that no work is small.

3. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

I would like to switch lives with a random kid in a local colony park. The careless attitude, the curiosity to learn new things, being his true self all the time, and not caring what the world thinks of him - what better than this?

Nikita Rawat (Senior manager - Finance & Accounts)

1. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Being true to yourself is the best advice I've ever gotten.

2. A book you read that changed your life and mindset?

Ikigai - The Japanese secret to a long and happy life. It has taught me to live in the present moment.

3. Can you share with us a professional learning from your work journey?

One important learning is the value of effective communication. Clear communication is essential in any workplace to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, projects are completed on time, and teams work collaboratively.

3. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

Nirmala Sitharaman, India's current finance minister. I'm curious about how a finance minister functions and how it feels to be a finance minister.
